Funny Jasper, AL is east of me as well and it's in Walker county which is the crookedest county in the state. Ol Nick Smith running for re election for sheriff after killing several in the jail, got everyone in a big uproar. 26 of his deputy's so far either took a plea deal or awaiting trial. He's trying to play his self off as the Trump of Walker county, claims all his legal problems are due to lawfare, lol. Not even going to mention how many 'missing' people there are in that county that he was last seen with.
