Just wondering who makes money with their pick up truck and how . I have made money with every pick up i have ever owned . I used to sell firewood for years , when i was younger . Now i haul scrap metal as a side hustle . . So far this year i have made over $3500 cash , just part time.

Used to give Amish a ride to work in the summer in the back of my pickup. Had a cap for the back. They were grateful and paid well

Could not imagine not having one here everyone has one or a few. In the city you have a lot of friends that you never knew you had if you have a pickup to haul for them. LOL

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

Good for you. My truck is my life line now. If a person continues to try. You will be surprised what one can earn. Never give up!!!

My pick up is listed under my business name along with a couple of vans, a dump truck, and some heavy trailers.

It makes me money almost every day I drive it.

used mine since I started driving. Mowing grass, trimming trees, taking off scrap, halling fire wood.

Beyond Being a tool generating income it also saves us a ton for personal use.

I'd be broke without my truck.
I buy and sell apples, haul and sell.poultry, take in scrap metal, sell ramps, and pick up road money when I see it.

I've made enough money that I could have bought and paid for my truck just by my side hustles

Im.on the way now to Ohio to get another load of produce now..I sold what I got yesterday

I made 4 trips last week

Also hauled catch when we had a market. Now do free hauling for family and friends sometimes I wonder if I should ever retired. Oldest daughter does not Tex me about things anymore she just lets her mom know what needs done and wife tells me.

I’ve lost money on every truck I ever bought, (40 plus) except one. It was a used 89 Toyota I paid 3600 for, it was nicer than most beaters so I put full coverage on it. Had a hail storm and got 2500 for the dings, put around 30k on it and sold it for 3500.

Every truck I’ve owned has been a money pit. Everyone’s definition of making money is different.

Paid $1000 for that old Ford. Had a $1500 fur check, plus a few nuisance jobs late that summer, so it paid for itself pretty quick.

Am self employed, every mile I drive my truck I take 55.5 cents a mile off my net income, so the gub'ment pays me around 11 grand a year for driving my truck. getting 18 mpg helps also. Around 6 bucks per gallon after fuel expense.

You might want to update your software. You should be using $0.70/mile for your mileage deduction.

I dont think the gubmint gives you that money or pays you to drive it,, its what it cost to run one.

I pull a concession trailer with mine. Also drive a few Amish people places. I wont take them to the store but if they need to go someplace a hundred or more miles it is worth while. Next month I am driving a couple about 700 miles to see their parents for Christmas, then a week later I will go get them. Trips like that are worth doing.

well I take .70 each mile I drive it off my gross income, at .7 a mile I get 12.60 per gallon for fuel that costs 3.39 per gallon. So I am in fact making money diving it.
