My neighbor had some spray drift hit my trees. Ended up with half a crop ( 3060 lbs). Have to fight with with his insurance company over the other half plus damage to 4 red oak trees, 3 hard maple’s, 1 river birch, 2 flowering crabapples twenty feet tall that it killed, and 75 newly planted blackberries that it whacked. Estimated damage’s came up to around 40 grand.

He sprayed sprayed an over grown cattle corall with 2-4-d right across the road from my house. Knowed the guy for years and he feels bad about what happened. Called his insurance agent immediately after I seen what happened. The adjuster came and took pictures of the damage and wanted me to wait until after harvest to turn in a damage amount. I’ve got a real dislike for insurance companies and them doing the right thing. Generally turns into a big fight. The neighbor that sprayed told me he would personally pay the difference if the insurance company jacked me around. I don’t want his money when the insurance he pays for is responsible to pay. Been holding off from the nuclear route until I hear from them. I’m just small potatoes in the farming pecans game, but I won’t be pushed around by a huge insurance company that wants to play games.
