He took the ACT a couple weeks ago and he got the results back. Came home and said “Dad I left a few points on the table, I might retake it in the spring”

He scored a 33!

That should help a bunch with scholarships for next year.

Proud of the boy

Jeepers! I scored a 28 back in the day and folks thought I was a genius. They were wrong. But congrats to the boy, that is an accomplishment.

Thats a good score .... unfortunately in todays world smarts rarely gets you any scholarship money. Unless you meet a lot of other "criteria".

In Missouri it used to get you the Bright Flight scholarship. NWMSU is much better than UCM if he is looking to stay close. Highly recommend Maryville if he is considering it.

Can't speak about Maryville, but had 2 daughters go thru UCM. They let them stack / use all of their scholarships - a lot of schools will only allow them to use one.
Tuiton is reasonable and it is only a little over an hour from Lathrop.

congrats
I think a 31 was the top score I had ever heard of.

lets say I didn't get a 31

should be able take a pick of schools with a 33

some schools are looking for community service and such now.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Thanks guys

Im pretty sure his school choice is made. His top 3 were West Point, Missouri S&T, University of Wyoming

He was selected for the Summer Leadership Experience this summer and spent a little over a week at West Point. He loved it but said the engineering wasn’t nearly what S&T had. We toured the University of Wyoming and while he loved the area and what was available outside of school he is leaning toward S&T higher ranking for engineering small school and fairly close. He has already been excepted to S&T but he also has an interview with our congressman to try and gain an appointment

He is doing great and is supper busy

FFA Area president

Flys the drone and films all the football games and practices
Top of his class
4.8 gpa
Competes in LDE and CDE events in FFA
Competes in FBLA
Student council member
He is taking 5 college classes this semester and when he graduates he will have 12 classes done
Works 20 hours a week at the hardware store

And now we are headed out to look at some beavers a farmer wants him to trap. Trapping is his FFA project this year and he is hoping to win state for it.

My daughter is on the same path and is a junior so all the help either one can get for school will be great. But mom and I are super proud of both of them

Excellent. Admission should be a slam dunk almost anywhere and I bet he gets good scholarships.
