Game vest and layers
backpacks almost never fit me , and it is hanging off my back , I might wear one if I could ever find one that fit right.
they all seem to be maid for some little guy.
and the stuff is inaccessible
it hangs behind you catches on brush when pushing through a thick spot.
fanny pack was ok but put the weight in not idea place
game vest I pack stuff in smaller zipper bags like first aid kit
spare gloves down in the bottom , pockets
I can balance it out so it sits even , it makes a little wider all over but not hanging out really anywhere.
the only thing that might make it better is a place for a hydration bladder in the back of the vest
This is why I liked the small one I linked. It was cheep when I picked it up at a surplus store and I had it several years and didnt use it untill my daughter got big enough to deer hunt. Now taking a kid and keeping her comfortable and entertained required packing a lot more stuff. I had that pack saw it and started using it. Since it was my first pack I uses I didnt realize how nice its size was. I have had several typed of packs but have 3 ( one for me and the boys) of those in my cart to buy. Wife said something about spending money in her venmo account so going to let her take care of that part.
They dont hold a lot and are thin. Easier to get to items in it for me than deeper zipper back pack. Small enough not in the way in a deerstand and won't tempt you to pack more weihmght in things you don't really need becuse you have the room.
At least thats how I remember it. guess I will find out when they show up in a few weeks. Lowest cost shipping said 8 days and its only got to come from Iowa.
