It sure does.I would work 4 to 5 union nuclear shutdowns for 3 to 4 weeks each, then stop off in Mass on my way home from the last job around Sept to draw unemployment the rest of the year always having the falls and winters off.

It was easy CoyoteCowboy. In those blue ridge mountains with all those gullys and ravines all those hunters would be parked down below in good areas waiting on daylight to arrive.I would already be up above them in my treestand watching the deers escape routes.I would hear the doors shutting, etc. at daylight and here would come the deer. grin

Surprised it is not more. I hunt with some forester collogues that manage large timber holdings. One parcel, we take on average of 50 deer a season, almost all does.
I take 3 doe in my timber and travel to PA and get 2-4 deer at the farm.
All this hunting and it does not seem to put a dent in the population.

Not to argue the point but Virginia has a 6 per year bag limit. Even using urban bonus tags no more than 6. You must’ve been poaching Mike you say we killed 50. Different state and sounds like several guys. You killed 7 at most. I’m a numbers guy.
Bruce but if you started at 15 I doubt the herd was that big that bag limits allowed you to legally kill 12 per
But I’m sure you have killed your share. Great job

Wait, Bruce... are you bragging about being supported by the taxpayer for half of the year so you can run around hunting and trapping?

Proudly banned from the NTA.

The forester gets DMP's from NYSDEC and strict records are kept on sex and age. The hunters have a buck tag and 2 doe tags along with the DMP's. We usually have 10 to 12 guys hunting the timber.

That sounds logical. 5 per hunter to get the 50 deer

Crop tag hunters around here kill 5 per day easy.

They all can justify their entitlement to what others worked for.
