This is a bit different. I've seen these for years in professional kitchens and most noticable in delis/sandwich shops. Never gave them much of a thought , but just recently got one. Not commonly seen in home kitchens.

A sandwich spreader.

Since I've gotten it , I find it very handy. Super easy to use compared to a knife. Gets the job done fast. Instead of making 6-7 strokes to cover your sandwich just right all the way to the edges , it gets it done in 2-3 strokes with better results. Plus pulling mayonnaise out of the jar only takes one scoop compared to going in several times with a knife.

The one I got is Dexter ( also known as Dexter-Russell ) , quality made in USA , NSF approved , full professional grade.
Paid $14 online.

A real time saver/game changer for low cost. Lasts forever.

I reach for it all the time , I almost wonder why I didn't buy one years ago. So handy , I just got a second one.

Waiting now for all the comments from people who have worked in food service and are gonna tell me I should have gotten one long ago.......lol crazy

Get one , you will love it.

We have one with a serrated edge on one side. It spreads and slices tomatoes. We use ours a lot.

Let me guess , if you were to lose that one , you would immediately get another. Yes or No ?

My sister got me one last year and I use it all the time. Great for spreading mayo, butter and peanut butter.
