This gun belonged to my Grandfather. How he got it is a mystery. It was awarded to Rudolf, Crown Prince of Austria back in the 1800's . I have no idea who made it or what type of gun it is or the caliber. The family sold it back in the early 1990's. I'm just doing a little family history and trying to get more information on it.

Definitely a target gun. Probably came home in a GI duffel bag after WW2. Need a chamber cast to determine caliber although a lot were chambered 8.15 x 46 rimmed.

Definitely got the Germanic/Austrian look to it.

This particular gun has an "presentation " plate on the stock. Unfortunately,
the pic is not clear. [Linked Image]

Some Cabelas stores have guys in their high end "gun room" who are good at researching guns like this.
It might be worth a call and maybe a visit.

I believe I found the maker. I'm pretty sure it was made by "Ischierstutzen"

That term describes the type of gun. Stutzen means rifle.
