My boss had amyloidosis about 15 years ago. I don't know which exact he type he had, though. He travelled a few states away to get chemotherapy at a Boston hospital. It seemed to go well. Although I no longer work with him, I hear he's still doing alright 15 years later.

Started to look it up, but there's so many types that can affect about everywhere....still not sure what it is....but I never stayed at a Holiday Inn express, so there's that...
