Not sure why the pictures are sideways… two months ago. My mother called and said there was a groundhog living under her house, I took a trap over there, put a couple of apple slices in it, caught a coon,. Rebaited it caught another coon.. re baited .. another coon.. then nothing, two weeks and nothing, finally asked my mother that she seen the groundhog anymore and she said no it must’ve moved on.. I stopped by one day later and looked in the trap and the bait was gone.. I didn’t put any more bait in it.. but.., she still checks it every day…it’s been set for probably a month and a half with no bait.. this morning she calls.. you got a coon.. I’m like.. where??? Beside the house.. I go by and sure nuff.. I have one..

Must of smelled the other coons caught in there, they ain't the brightest critters.

I had a couple empty cages next to the garage , walked past them every morning on the way to the truck , I had left the door open on one

then the dogs are going nuts one morning , sure enough possum in that empty trap

sometimes they are just sniffing and curiosity killed the coon or possum ,
