Got done with work and myself and a coworker headed over to my sister's place to sight in the deer rifles. Got 'em done and were packing up and chatting about deer hunting and solving the worlds problems, as guys will do. Anyhow I caught movement on the berm that runs behind the house and saw a nice buck moving east to west. I asked if he brought his bow and he said he did. I said hurry up and get it, I know where that deer will pop out into the field, hurry up. This is his first year bow hunting and he is borrowing the bow from me. He didnt move too fast but got the bow uncased and told me to try to go after the deer. I said no. Now strap on the release, and lets go. We hustled down the field edge where we had cover and got into position just as the buck entered the field. He was 25 yards and perfectly broadside, I whispered "draw"... "draw"... "draw" he didn't draw. Anyhow after the buck left I said why didn't you shoot? He said I was shaking so bad I couldn't. Lol after he regained his composure he said he would have shot it, but it really needs another year to be a shooter.

Here is the video of the end of the encounter.

you want so hard to help them get a deer but sometimes they need to get the experience a little at a time to get to where they can seal the deal.

at least he knew he couldn't because he was shaking so much and didn't take a shot he couldn't stop moving for.

he will get there , it's hard when we want them to have success , but we have to realize the success is in the steps as much as it is in bagging the game.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

You've hit the nail on the head. It was a fun experience anyhow. He is still talking about it today.
