Who would you send your deer hides to for hair off / leather tanning ?

I know who I use for furbearer tanning services, (Moyles,) but I have no idea for deer leather tanning.

I have a friend that asked this question, and I didn't know the answer.

Thanks for your help.

Wytex - have you used this tannery personally? If so, what was the quality like?

Just curious, as I’ve never heard of them. Thanks.

Never used them personally, but I may this year. It’s an old company that recently reopened. Happy trapping! ScottW

I just do them myself. Barktan or braintan.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

After W.B. Place here in Hartford shut down, I used Yost up in Sturgeon Bay a few years. After that I learned to braintan. The cost for commercial tanning was getting really high.

I have not. They were recc. to me when I was looking for some specific leather.
The gal at Rawlins Baseball gloves said tell them Tennessee Tanning recc. them to me, she said she knows they do good work. Her son is a Taxidermist and uses them she said.
Prices look good to me though.
I did ask if they could do beaver tails and they said no.
