Why is Trump compared to former Democrat Presidents? Is he better than former Republican Presidents? The other is kind of a given.

Because the situation is so similar between the two and the public didn't seem to care since they re-elected Clinton for a second term. So, why should it be any different for Trump?

Clinton won by a large margin and primarily Democrats voted for him. In the past, before Trump, the religious right would never have voted for a Republican with Trump's immoral background. Democrats have never had a problem with voting immoral people into office. We have to compare Trump to Democrats because we have few Republican examples?
