I had a 357 for a long time in a contender , dang it was deadly on deer

killed several with a 358 JD Jones. Its a hammer. 357 max too.

I have a 300 Whisper and a 357/44 Baine & Davis for my Contender. Don't think I've ever shot anything but paper with the Whisper, but the 357/44 Baine and Davis is the one that I carry to give to lion hunters that don't want to bring their own gun, or that bring a 26" barrelled 7mm Mag and decide they'd rather pack something they can shove in their backpack and forget about until it is time to shoot. (Actually, I usually pack it in my pack).

I have a 30 and a 357 Barrel. Need dies and ammo. Hunted last few years with a 7-30 Waters.

When I first shot my 358 JDJ it was like a bomb going off. Had it in a Contender Carbine. Took it home and filled the stock and fore end with silicone and lead shot. Barrel went to Magnaport. Made it tolerable.
