Question for those who've been able to sit and watch yotes in the wild do there thing ... When they're hunting and they end up catching something generally what's sound do you here before during and after front them? I mean of course you got the rabbit or whatever screaming but what about the coyotes?
All the one sive ever been able to sit and watch are just trotting around not really making any noise so , I mean I've heard them fight a bit over a dead cow or something but that's about it

My coyote was completely quiet when she would catch and eat mice, besides some crunching noises. It's risky for a solitary predator to make vocalizations and alert other predators it made a kill. They could take it from them.

The few coyotes I watched were quiet. I once watched a coyote play with a mouse it caught by throwing it up in the air with his mouth several times and then let it run off. Apparently, it wasn’t hungry.. However, when the mouse start running the coyote let out a short welp as it watched the mouse run away and that was it. Wild animals are amazing creatures.

The only time I've ever heard coyotes making noise were breeding pairs talking, coyotes communicating with howls and barks(probably more breeding activity) and warning barks when they bust you on a calling stand. Never over food unless it was growls and nips at one another. Just my limited experience.

Haven't seen one make any noise when hunting and catching mice or rabbits, I have seen them yipping when chasing a deer in a pack the lead dog would yip and another coyote would take his place.Don't know if they got that she was running thru a bare wheat field towards a draw so once she made the draw I don't know what happened.

Twice while hunting Ive watched one run by and had a second following about 100 yards behind. Thinking 1 jumping rabbit and 1 waiting for it to circle.

I once watched a lone coyote try to take down a doe. If I hadn't intervened by walking towards them, I think it would have accomplished it as the deer was very much out of breath... panting, chest heaving... Anyways, before I started walking there I watched for probably 10 minutes and the coyote never made a peep.

Proudly banned from the NTA.

Bother me tomorrow. Today I'll buy no sorrows.
