Today's catch. Brings my total to 97 coon, 6 skunks and 42 possum. We have a possum explosion this year and the coon are fatter than I ever remember in the past.


57 years trapping. It's who I am. Every day is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid but a little more work.

I've had some huge possum and some very small ones. Anyone know how many litters they have a year?

Usually two except for far north, where they have 1 litter per year. I suppose Wisconsin might be considered far north for possums

Thanks for the information CoyoteCowboy. I'm sure they had second liters here. I've caught some very small ones.

Steve R. Some have great color and others are a bright yellow like the one in the photo.

keep after them guys, skunks look like grade 2, I have a buddy that has caught 10 possums last week from under his camp all really small like 6-8 inches
