Bonus question. I think I know what this bird is, that set off one of my security, video cameras, but would like other opinions. What is it?

I think the mushrooms are Chlorophyllum rachodes, commonly known as the Shaggy Parasol. They are supposed to be really good to eat, when thoroughly cooked, but about 4% of people suffer stomach upset after eating them.

Their closest look alike is nicknamed the Vomiter, which makes me hesitant to try them without better identification. The Vomiter is the most common mushroom that makes people sick in the US.

They look like shaggy parasol slice them, if the cut surface turns from white to an orangish color within a couple of minutes, they are shaggy parasol (Lepiota Rachodes) or by the new name chlorophyllum rachodes. Very good eating, saute in butter, season with steak seasoning.

Thanks Waggler. We will eat a little bit tomorrow, to make sure we aren't in the 4%, who it makes sick.

Many of the sites from Great Britain say it's the second best flavored wild mushroom. The American sites say it's very good too. It's growing a few feet from my carport, within 7' from my door. A mushroom couldn't be much more convenient to harvest.
