any luck hunting in Missouri ??

Temps dropped they got frisky then it warmed up they have settled down now. Passed on a scrub Tuesday filled a doe tag for the freezer. We have a lot of nicer bucks on cams this year but just not getting any opportunities. Pulled the ground blinds today I need to pull a stand on private property and store it here so I don’t need to haul it back and forth.

Going out tonight and tomorrow then heading out early on Saturday for home. I’ve got some beaver work when I get back will put out some skunk cages where I can at the same time.

The food plots seem to be holding the turkey and deer in the area but they are shut down now since it warmed up not even does out feeding in the usual green grass areas. I haven’t missed a day passed on a lot of does and scrub bucks had one grunting as he passed through nonstop, the other guys seen some doe chasing taking place also

Found a couple scrapes and few rubs this year but not many, the food plots attract the does and younger deer but the bigger bucks avoid those open areas they stick to the woods more.

yes this warm weather has shut them down here also

Heading out now for my last sit then back home tomorrow morning. I need to pick up the deer at the locker later today if I pop a deer today I’ll ice it for the trip then cut it up myself.
