Honestly, you are the first person I have ever encountered that thought "several" meant seven. Seriously. Several mean more than 2 but is meant to be vague. If you have "several hundred dollars in your account, why not just say "seven"? It is less letters than "several".............

100 years shooting that many and you still ain't to 700, lol

Nah, 7 deer per year for 100 years would be exactly 700 deer killed.

lol.

Thats a mess of deer and a heck of an average to maintain. Gotta spend a lot of time in the woods.

I know some folks who average 20-30 deer a year. They are also young and don’t have children.

This is making my head hurt. "Several hundred" is a generalization because you don't know the exact number. It is sort of like an estimate. You can't be serious with all this can you?

Because several hundred means the same thing in a good enough way.

It’s just a guesstimate. If someone stated an exact number for attendance and then it was found out it was higher or lower, they would be accused of over or under exaggerating the numbers. So they just say several hundred. Could be any number really, just means it was somewhere between 100 and 999.
