for years when my wifes friend would stop by my backyard always smells like skunk and for some reason she would always agree with my wife and say how much they dig the smell
they would always ask if anyone could make a scented candle that smells like that so i was given 20lbs of bees wax from a nuisance job i finished so i melted down about i pints worth
of bees wax and a pints worth of regular candle wax then added a dose of straight quill an stuck in the wicks
the regular wax is pretty loud but i gotta say the bees wax was unfiltered and when lit gives off a sweet odor of honey and skunk pretty goofy but kinda sweet [Linked Image]

I would have bought it pre-Covid in a heartbeat, I used to love the smell of skunk! I would inhale deeply every time I drove past a roadkill. Then I caught Covid the 1st time and it altered how I smell skunk........ one of the most depressing things ever! Now I think skunk smells like burnt oil, what a bummer.

I've had the same thought about candles but with castor instead of skunk. Muskrat would also be pretty good.

Some enterprising types on here could do a Christmas assortment of candles with different furbearer musks.

That sounds good to me. I really like the smell of skunk as long as it's not overpowering.

Skunk odor brings back a lot of great memories.

Drying fur and wet dog scented candles would also be favorites of mine.

You may be on to something here. LOL

Eh...wot?

Once you get the candle business up and going you could expand it to underarm deodorant and car freshener to lay on the dash.

I think shunk flavored candle with wood smoke back ground, could be a winner for me. Be better than the flowery stink my wife's candle put out. Some them almost gag me.

I once had one of the little green, Christmas tree, air fresheners coated with some Hawbaker coon lure on it hanging from my rearview mirror .... love the smell of that lure and it brings back a lot of great memories.

Not sure about skunk candles.

Now if you could make one smell like Hoppe's #9, I'm in.

I alway have liked the light smell of skunk on the cool, early morning air. Reminds me of growing up on the farm and those early trap lines as a kid.

Trail cameras and fresh snow have broke a lot of trapper’s hearts.

That skunk smell is everywhere these days. Nothing unique about skunk smell, just the source.
