Getting some calls on badger and beaver complaints told them to think skunks if I’m coming out to defer the costs. The one guy I’ve trapped on in the past said I have the use of any UTV on his place but I prefer to work out of my truck for access to my equipment.

Heading out after the honey do prison sentence is served. LOL

I get that all the time, landowner wanting me to use their ATV/UTV to check traps on their property. Just what a guy wants to do, is load and unload everything you might need every trap check.

Been there before trapping beavers so I know I can drive it with the trailer in tow they don’t understand the gear it takes but the offer was nice but like you say it’s not as practical as having everything handy when ya need it right there. I think he was trying to take on some of the costs but point me to the skunks and we are good then. LOL

Years ago, this older couple gave me the use of their paddle boat to trap some beaver on the lake channel they lived on. That was fun. Caught a couple of otters in addition to the beaver.

There was this bar that was so rough they checked you for a gun and if you didn't have one, they gave you one.

I don like borrowing or using anything thats not mine. Heck I borrowed a 4 way tire tool once and had the welds on it break. Ended up having g to get transportation to a parts store and buy 2 new 4 ways anyway. Was my girlfriend's new used car and didn't have a tool in it. I was going to buy one for it anyway but having g a flat and someone that lived close with a tool I could barrow seemed like a good idea to get back on the road fast.

Didn't turn out to be as convenient as I thought it would be. That was back when I was young and broke.
