They are both happy so im happy. Both have shot some doe as well. Still need more for the freezer but a lot of our areas have been hit with ehd. The oldest boy say he thought his was larger then it is. But he is still happy with it so thats good. I can't stand people that shoot somthing that talk down about it. To me if your not proud of it dont shoot it.

Couldn’t agree more with you about deer shaming yourself. If it was good enough to shoot, then it was good enough.

Be happy with it.

Congratulations to your boys. Nice job.

Stop over cooking your meat! It isn’t gamey, it’s over cooked!

Thanks everyone. Those two deer make 26 for the 15 year old and 27 for the 13 year old. The 15 year old hunts more and passes uo a lot more deer. I was surprised he shot that one being he has let deer bigger walk. Reinforce that he did think it was larger.. Regardless He seems happy with it I think its his widest spread Just a bit lighter on tine length and mass than he thought.

The youngest shot his this morning With his sisters left handed rem several hundred and sas arbiter suppressor. Was 130 to 150 yards. High shoulder shot shots through both shoulders and removed a full section of spine. That is my absolute favorite deer gun out of the many we have. They all work well so im not sure why but there is just something about that gun I love. Almost as accurate with factory ammo as my custom built 260 with hand loads. Just the right amount of damage without being over kill on deer size game.

Im not sure why he didnt take his supressed 350 legend today maybe he was expecting longer shots but I think he likes that 7/08 as much as I do.

Nothing wrong with those two bucks. I would be tickled if I had two boys that enjoyed to hunt. Im the only one who hunts in my family.
Congrats to your boys.

Oh, by the way. Great calibers in 7/08 and .260

Here is a shot of the youngest last years and this year. Sun was in his eyes so he had on a hat and he had already gotten cleaned up and out of his hunting close. A big difference how much he has grown. May not be obvious in the pictures.
