This evening: several does/fawns, a few small bucks, one shot heard that was far away.

Seen a few does out milling around in bean stubble when my wife took me to town right before dark.

Neighbors stopped by to tell us that they are having one processed for us since I most likely won't be able to hunt this season. Had to eat a little crow because of my frustration in my first post on this thread. Lol

I was lucky enough to have this guy come out before it got dark this evening. It's meat in the freezer not no wall hanger. That's the exit wound you are seeing, just did clip the heart right at all the valves so I was able to save almost all of the heart.grin

Just got home. Have been in Louisiana all weekend for Goddaughter’s wedding. First opening day I’ve missed in 45 years, neighbor killed a very good buck Saturday night and buddy killed one tonight.

Pretty good movement early on this AM. Quite a bit of shooting for a Monday morning. Had two close opportunities this morning but the stars haven't aligned yet (using an atl atl). Went out with son the last two days (he was using a rifle).
