Maybe let some meat taint to long. Developed an ammonia smell. Is it still ok? Will is air out quickly at a set? This happened before dosing with SB and MP. It’s still there even after preservative addition. I just scooped out a spoon full to let sit out for a little bit and see if it dissipates.

If its red meat I'm not sure it can be tainted " to long". It has uses all across the spectrum from fresh to tainted to the point of mostly liquid. Never really noticed a ammonia smell from tainted meat but everyone's nose is different. Your best bet is ask the target animal what they think of it, they are the ones that do the final grading.

Cat meat can sour once it has worked for a while and get pretty sharp in odor. There will be considerable liquid volume in the bottom of the container typically depending upon the conditions.

I would use it and see how it works out for you. Cut back on the amount used in milder temps and duff over the bait with some set dirt after applicating. This will soften and filter the odor somewhat.

In cold temps use it straight.

if you poke-stick skunk with aceatone and use the meat it can give off a funky metalic odor

With the dab I let sit out it seems to dissipate quickly enough. There was also some mold present earlier but the preservatives seemed to have stopped that.
