Well not t man vacation!
But off until next Tuesday and I got to make “several” sets this afternoon! Seven in fact! Took the quad out to the new 40 acre property which is a dream. It was so nice not to have to lug everything around. And I tried my new TrapHer chaps which are a blessing!!! Can get right down to business without grabbing a kneeling pad. Put in five footholds and two DP’s. Rain forced me out. I’m chilled and tired and hungry and ready for a beer. Carnitas pork roast in the crockpot for blue corn tortillas nachos with pico de gallo for dinner .
I’m so happy!
Here are a few sets I made. Getting better at bedding the trap and switching to straight chain stakes did me a favor. No more dumb cable

Guaranteed you'll be thinking tonight about what's happening out there with those sets. I still succumb to that after more than 50 years as a trapper.

A trapline during vacation is the only thing that keeps my mind off work…probably cuz a trapline is work. Keep us posted on your catches!
