Been a while but got going on this one about a month ago. I need to be in the right mode, inspired I guess you could call it. One chip at a time all hand tools used for my work. Not finished but did add some colour today when I got home from the ranch. More carving to do but giving it some colour I can get a better feel for how to proceed to the end point.

I like it. What tools do you use to do the carving?

My old next door neighbor was really good at carving wood. He used to put pieces in the Artistry at Wood shows. He carved mostly cowboys and Indians. He might still do it. I haven't seen him in 17 years.

Sculpture is my favorite art form.

I am debating to give to a charity group for auction. I have in the past till they started to bug me about doing one each year. I want to keep some for my granddaughters to have something from me after I'm gone.

Very nice this one reminds me of a fella from when I was a young fella up on the Hi Line ! His nick name was Edison Bushbomb Clancy ! I've not thought of him in ages ha ha !
