Looks like someone's cat wanting feed. Not a Feral.

For some reason i have never worried about song birds or rodents even the squirrels or rabbits my cats kill. Theos cats didn't hold a candle to the amount I have taken out as a kid with bb gun. And I dont like Hawks around either so less food for them the less they hang out.

Why do they show up and seem to be more? You got a new neighbor or one that kids got older and like cats. Also we had a lot just show up, for a while and assumed they were getting dumped.

The road and coyotes keep their #s down. Got all of ours fixed and only have a few left now.

That's what the rest of the fam said, and they put out water and food for it. I'm like, there's a pond 50 yards from the house, chances are he doesn't need water. And I've been finding mice with their heads gone just laying on the trails. Also birds. And if I catch a mouse I throw it out and the next day it's gone so I think the cats are eating them.

Save those mice for coyote bait.

The ditch cougars can fend for themselves.

That'll work, or grind them into a paste.
