Bruce T ,
Good luck with your hunt. Plenty of deer in this state.

The #1 best tip I can give you is -
Bring everything you need with you. There is nothing cheap here. Prices are nuts. You will be very glad to have with you everything you need for the weekend. The McDonald's on I95 in Darien ( close to Milford ) has the distinction of the most expensive McDonald's with a Big Mac meal costing $18. Highest of all McDonald's restaurants nationwide.
Not that you would eat at McDonald's , but that gives you an idea of the prices in that area.

Pack anything that you might need down to the smallest detail. Don't buy anything here. Truckers for years called Connecticut a ' drive through ' state. Drive through , don't stop , don't buy fuel. Pack anything you think you might need like simple things like aspirin or other commonly used items unrelated to hunting.

Again , good luck with your hunt. Excellent chances of seeing deer. High probability of success. The area you will be visiting is nice , scenic and safe.

Have a safe trip , bring everything you need with you.

My oldest lives in Newtown....has footage of a bear ( biggin) on his front steps

And deer browsing on the shrubs
