I guess Oregon had another whale land on the beach. Heard it had crabbing gear wrapped around it. Right now sport crabbing in the ocean is off limits. It has been closed for about a month, so might be commercial gear. I guess people are upset that it was euthanized. I heard it was around 50 tons.

From my perspective, I’m ashamed it took several days to euthanize it. Animals deserve better treatment, there was no way of moving it. After the first high tide washed it farther onshore they should had put it down.

An Indian tribe was able to salvage most of it, should had never suffered as long as it did. People this soft should not be allowed outside.

The good news is they didn’t fill this one full of dynamite and touch it off like they did 25 years ago. That was a mess. Look it up on you tube.

I remember listening to G Gordon Liddy back in the day, describing the whale he ate.. it was hilarious .. him talking about what a beautiful cut o meat it was and so on and so on.. until he took a bite… oh my.. his description of how it was the most god awful thing he had ever put in his mouth… left me I tears!!

Wow time flys, can’t believe that was that long ago. Blubber falling out of the sky, several cars got damaged. Bad idea. Whale is on the menu in Iceland when I was there, but expensive.
