So, I'm leaving today for my annual WV hunting trip. Generally in our group we knock a few down, and ive heard of deer liver being a good predator bait, but curious how guys use it? Obviously, could cube it up and toss chunks down a dirthole, but are there any other preferred methods to use deer liver for predator bait?

i cut it up and place in a clean jar that is vented and let it sour (break down) after about 2 weeks you will have alot of juice that will seperate from the meat pour off the juice as it forms
i then let it sour till it breaks down to almost a cream consistency then stabilize with sodium benzoate and methyl parabin i use this as a base in one of my paste baits

It works fresh with a chunk down a hole. It works tainted a bit to strengthen the loudeness. And it works completely rotted down and blended with glands and other ingredients to make a lure / bait. It's pretty liquidy to work with when rotted down.

United we stand.
