He wont eat jalapeño peppers I give him. There are a variety of other foods he wont touch. I have some one bite poison out, but obviously, that aint working either. Will those sticky traps hold a rat this size?

That's a Boone & Crockett rat!!!!

I had one that invaded the living space of the house. Finally found its nest under my gun case. Finally finished the critter off with .22 rat shot in my living room.

Your rat looks like a wood rat, they can definitely be a challenge at times

I was reading on Liphatech website and they now have a CO2 system for killing rats, anyone use this, it maybe an option.

They make rat sized glue boards, but not very effective for catching a large rat like you have. Also if it's cool out the stickiness is much less than in a hot environment. Switching baits won't usually make it commit to a trap. Large rats like that aren't easy to catch, period. It takes time and you will most likely catch it in a blind set.

Sliver of raw bacon wrapped around trigger. Peel a thin string like piece of duct tape and strap her down. Make sure trigger is smooth and ready to go. Barely spray it with cooking oil to slick her up. Give it a test run if needed. Make a catch and move carcass to a likely spot and set up around it. This is where leg holds shine as killers. One fur season I let the skinned catch and scrapings pile up outside the shed and let’s just say I created a real problem.
