I twisted my knee taking a boat out the first part of October and have been limping around nursing it. It was feeling better until I connected on a big 10 point that I had been watching. I called my cousin to help me and we tried to drag the beast and my knee let go. Now I will be cutting it up today on crutches. Sure sucks getting old!.

I was very happy to get my target buck.

We only hung him by his head to hose it out. We skinned him hanging by the hind legs.

Nice!

I know the feeling.
Have drug a LOT of deer.
Out of some bad places
But simply couldn't do much with one year before last.
Pained me to.have to.call for help.

Was heaviest deer I've ever killed, and had a torn meniscus in right knee, plus a ruptured disc.
Called wife to bring deer sled.
We still couldn't do much. I wound up pulling my hamstring on top of everything else.
Should we just cut in in half and made 2 trips.

Called youngest son, hitched him up, and away he went.
Told him to just drag it to edge of woods, but he went another 400 yds to barn/ truck.

Then he said, " Better stick to squirrel hunting from here on out".

LOL, he pulled 3 more last year for wife and I.

Aint no shame in skinning one hanging by the head. It still works. Nice buck buddy.

Thank you all for the congratulations, I got him all boned and in the fridge. Then I put the carcass out where I can see it from the kitchen window in case Wiley stops by for a ballistic test.
I have to cut the backstraps into chops and grind the rest up into burger, but not today. In the recliner with ice on my knee.

I hate telling people what to do or stick my nose in other peoples business but standing underneath that bucket is not a very safe thing to do. If a hydraulic hose brakes and that bucket comes down it can kill you or injure you pretty bad. And there have been people killed like that.

Again I don’t like telling people what they should or shouldn’t do so ignore this message if you want or maybe think about it.

Anyone that owns a gun and votes democrat deserves to have there gun taken, cause they truly are too stupid to own a gun.
