We are selling are coon green and this one today has 3 big puncture marks in him. Would you guys skin him?
I had to crop the pic to get it to load but they are right on the back of his neck about 1/4” in diameter

Nope I’d be very selective with the effort I’d put into a coon trying to salvage one would not be in the cards.

From my experience, if you can see it from the fur side it's pretty bad. Once you skin it and flip it, it'll look worse.

Maybe if I was bored I'd skin it but if I had other things to do, I would not.

I don't have much trouble skinning coons, less than a minute and a half, so if its a decent size, and the rest of the fur looks good, I'd skin it and see how it looks after running a fur comb over it.
