Humans have been fighting each other for hundreds of years. Many have died and it's legal.
Animals fight that's nature. Plenty of trees that need some loving

You've got to be a special kind of dirt bag to enjoy that, for sure.

Pitbulls have been selectively bred to fight. The ones that didn't were shot out back.
Now if they catch one that mauled a kid to death, i'd pay money to watch those ones be shot out back.

I think a few man cards need to be recalled.

I don't have any interest in watching dog's fight each other but but enjoy a good terrier, big or small, taking care of business.

There are multitudes of people who want to see that banned too.

Interesting discussion. It is not ok to fight dogs or c#### (unacceptable) yet allow me. We hunt bears with dogs and yes they catch bears and kill them. We do bear hunt here in Northern WI with dogs seen it first hand. With dogs we run rabbits with, birds, dogs retrieve wounded animals in their mouth. We force breed animals of all species and for better breeds as we see fit. I watch amish train horses, not real pretty. We use animals for medical experiments giving them cancer, stds, etc. Obviously I can go on.
- we trap animals with steal leg hold traps, drown them or kill them.
I really struggle with the hypocrisy here?

Surprised some folks can’t see the difference between hunting for food and wildlife management and forcing domestic animals to fight for simply money and amusement ….nuff said

Years back there was a guy making the rounder with a black bear that they would fight dogs with. Haven’t heard about that in probably 30yrs.

That took commitment. Wow.

We can justify any perspective we wish, so it fits how we want it to fit for what we view as acceptable or not. When the Olympics were recently in South Korea they asked the markets to not sell dogs in the markets for food during the games. It would offend Westerners, lol perspective.

Agree. It's trashy low life culture and behavior. And I'm not just talking about the fighting. It's all of it.

Chickens are different. They made a Seinfeld episode about cockfighting. Little Jerry Seinfeld.

Nobody has to force a rooster to fight for entertainment purposes or otherwise. It is their nature. A yard of stags can be raised together from hatching and be best buddies for about 5 months and then one day you'll come home from work on a cool rainy fall day and there will be roughed up stags all over the yard were they started fighting. They get wet and no longer be recognizable to each other and they'll start fighting and from that point on they will need seperated or they will fight till death if they are of a good game bloodline. They are just like any other animal in that they have the positive traits reinforced and the negative traits culled out of them. Like it or not it IS a sport just like any other and we are all sportsman. Spend the day with a TRUE gamefowl lover and breeder and you will understand how much time, work, devotion and respect these people have for their sport and fowl. There are bad people in it just as there are in any other sport. It was one of the most enjoyable things i have ever done in my life and i miss it everyday.
