Since we are talking about bad neighbors......

This is my worst neighbor. He's been convicted of dealing drugs and had weapons charges and in and out of prison. The US Marshall's office used my place to raid his house. So did the city police. He raises Belgian Malinois dogs and lets them run. They killed 40 of our chickens, a cat, and a deer at the edge of my yard. Local county authorities do nothing. Been shot at twice now and there's a bullet stuck in my shed along side the house. The police picked up 70 empty rounds one night off the road in front of my house. This is what my tax dollars get me in illinois.

He put this picture on the day after he ran over my fruit trees and cages with fence posts in them. Hope he got a fence post up his exhaust pipe -Totally disregards all authority. Police said I have to take him to civil court to make him pay for my chicken, trees, ect. His mother works for a ambulance chaser who also owns the drug dealers house.... Thanks Governor Pritzker.

People dont tend to reoffend after they been shot. Food for thought.

Makes it hard to handle such issues the old fashioned way...

Years ago there was a guy on the sex offenders registry that was going to move into a trailer house on some property that bordered my folk's place. Dad called and said the trailer was struck by lightning and burned down before the guy moved in. Sometimes problems take care of themselves, I guess.

Sticks dipped in gusto and beef broth or deer blood for the dogs to play with.

Get some more chickens and build a coop. Put a good roof on it. Be extra careful not to spill any roofing nails on the ground around the coop. They might get in a dogs foot and that would hurt the poor widdle doggies feet. And for goodness sake don't forget and leave the lid off of the roofing nail bucket when you drive by his driveway.
Roofing nails are heck on vehicle tires and I know you would hate for anyone to get a flat tire because of your negligence.

Plant some more trees and call them pear or apple. Put boards around them with nails sticking up. I have heard that is a very good deterent for worms. Wouldn't want worms getting into your trees.

Sheriff office told me to shoot the problem dogs at a place i used to rent. when they subdivided theh farms and put in a bunch of 2-5 acre lots and double wides moved in. Had a bullet hit a maple tree as I was walking by to fill the horse trough. Heard a smak on th e tree than the report of the shot.. That guy enede uo dead in his barn. By his own hand..

Coming on to your property and destroy things. Well I'm still just young enough I would likely end uo in some legal trouble.

savel idea of burn them out comes to mind. OR take out the dogs when on your place and defend yourself when he come over threatening and wanting to do harm to you.

I shot one of the dogs with a turkey load. it went home - never saw that one again.
They kept coming to a gut pile and some dead animals that just showed up. Last summer I found a spot where there were a lot of dogs tracks and fur. It looked like they were rolling on a groundhog that had died and liquified. They are indoor dogs. Hope they went home and rolled on his bed.

My chickens were in a tractor with a layer of chicken wire under a layer of goat fence. That dog ate and chewed through the fence. Hadn't seen that one before.

I've never experienced anything like what some of you have shared.

Seems like the further south you go, the more likely you are to run into this nonsense.
