Nice buck hilltop! I like a good heavy rack 10 pointer. Is he going on the wall?

I like your weapon of choice. Now that I think about it I've never shot a deer with a slug. I've got an old Winchester model 12 passed down for my grandpa. That might just be the gun for the late season in Missouri.

I have shot 2 bucks each with a 375 H&H and a 458. Both ran and didn't leave much of a blood trail. Those bullets aren't designed to open on light skinned animals and just poked a hole through them.

I have nothing clever to put here.

The flash hider is still there along with the barrel band so with a set of original wood you could return that back to almost original condition depending on the scope mount. Cool old rifles!

Bought this for my granddaughter few months ago. Have bought all my kids guns also. Great grand daughter is still to young. 243 remington 700. Rifle season opens Dec 3. She is excited.

That's a great setup for a kid Danny! I hope your granddaughter gets to knock one down with it. Keep us posted!

My wife is left-handed and left eye dominant but grew up shooting right-handed. I'm trying to get her used to shooting left-handed. I bought a CVA break over .243 for her 5 or 6 years ago. It is a great ambidextrous gun. She has killed several deer with that rifle and I've been impressed with the bullet. I would highly recommend it as a starter gun for a kid.
