Its rare in colder weather. During warmer weather just have to look closely at whether its gator tracks or beaver tracks at crossovers. Can also smell the gators at well used crossovers.

Seems like you wouldn't have beavers with those big lizards sharing the same water.

Rarely bother an adult beaver. Gator would have to be a large specimen to grab an adult beaver. They will get a young beaver.

The gator in above pic is about 8 feet long. It could grab a decent sized beaver if it wanted the wrestle.

Some commotion at one of the beaver sets as the water was too shallow for the beaver to drown...so Wally decided to investigate and hang around. He watched me dispatch the beaver but didnt leave. Stayed back about 40 yds. Now with a little blood in the water I hope he isn't too curious.
