One guy and his wife we exchange chores I look after his critters chickens, ducks and cats and he lets our dogs out if we go away for a day or two. He clears the driveway of snow and helps out with his bobcat moving ash barrels around or loading barrels to go to the dump.

The other is a single Mom with a grown autistic son we both help her out since she works a couple days a week. We clear tree branches from her yard the other neighbor keeps her driveway open and I control the weeds in the summer months for all of us.

It’s been a smooth relationship for many years I don’t run the chainsaw on her days off before noon but she says it no issue if I did.

I'd say you've got a great bunch of neighbors, Jerry. That's the way things used to be.

Yeah, but you should hear what they say about you when you're not around.

The closest neighbors are absolutely the best neighbors you can ask for.
The neighbors in the HOA about a 1/4 mile away SUCK

My closest neighbor to the east is my daughter and son in law. To the west is kid who grew up there and inherited the place. We are god parents to his son. He comes and clears driveway when it snows etc like Law Dogs. Both are about 1/2-3/4 mile away. River to north, often have beers with neighbor from other side of the river. Southern neighbor is about a mile away, don’t see them much. We lucked out in the neighbor department., so far. But things can always change.

We have a very good setup of neighbors at the moment. Two that border us are both century farms (one is my wife’s family). I have permission to hunt/trap either(about 1000 acres). Across the road is a guy who worked for a Chevy dealership for close to 40 years. He is a mechanical genius and works for Natty lite.

We are blessed

Being a good neighbor and having good neighbors is ideal. Life is so much better when we look out for each other and trade favors. Too bad some neighbors are just jerks by choice.

There were a dozen police cars and about that many people cuffed in front of my neighbor's house last night. I slept through the whole thing. Maybe get some new neighbors soon. Strangely, this is the same way we got new neighbors last time. Lol

Used to do driveways for them, but the new ones are on their own....will only say hello if you bump into them, and only wave if you've made eye contact. Total strangers on the road will at least wave as they go past.....

IM friendly and polite with everyone around me.Am friends with a few. Others I don't really care for. don't have a lot of neighbors but they keep building more houses.

That can be good building more coustmer base. And the guy just bought the 141 behind me is loaded and wanting more land so I could sell out faster if I decide it gets to built up. The farm has gone uo in value 500% + As well but.. (only a benefit if I Sell)

The bad is property taxes keep going up and up, more traffic, more trespassing.

Could be waaaay worse. lol

I have great neighbors
I have a couple we talk a bit when outside in the summer but others are very good friends.

I didn't know any of them before moving here 20 years ago.

no HOA , this is the land of park you boat in the front yard , everyone does it.
