Happy Holidays everybuddy. My family is messed up too.

I was told we're going somewhere but I wasn't paying attention. Probably my sister's place. I'll find out Thursday, I reckon.

I'm fortunate. I get to work on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas this year. We will do our family thing whenever I have a day off, and I get to avoid some of the extended family that I'd rather avoid.

The wife and I have Cornish game hens we ain’t answering the door!

Since my wife has none of our holiday traditions I'm the one that keeps it going. She's happy to come along for the ride though! I do a traditional thanksgiving meal with all the fixin's. I started making stuff as of today including my great grandmother's triple risen buns (goody buns my brother John named them once) that takes me 6 hours to make. Tomorrow cranberry sauce and pies.

Grand Mother on Dad's side was the glue that kept us together. Once she died we all went our separate ways.

Much closer to friends than family. No major problems; that's just the way it is, and I don't think any of feel like faking it

We all got family drama. When you get older and people start dying the holidays aren't the utopic event you were brainwashed in believing when you were young.

Turns out there was beef you didn't know anything about amongst the dinner table. Then the cool ones kick the bucket which only creates more drama.
