What are you all doing for the holiday?

We are going up to the ranch, cooking a small feast then hunting and setting a few traps.

Stupid cold weather and maybe some snow for the travel back home, what timing.

We had Thanksgiving with my daughter and the grand kids last Friday. Now the grand kids will go to their dad's side of the family for thanksgiving.
The good thing about an early thanksgiving Is I got to eat turky and dressing in the deer blind on Saturday and Sunday,

Relax at home with my wife.

Game hens and a day of rest for me and the wife.

Son and DIL are nurses so we are not having a feast until Sunday

Probably go hunt in the morning and knock out some chores later in the day

Our 7, plus 2 in laws, plus 5 of the kids's friends and parents, so 14 people here. I'm making the turkey, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, pies, and gravy.

Smoked turkey supper with my wife and daughters. Small and relaxing holiday, for us.

We are having a little dinner at home and then Saturday at my parents and Sunday at the in-laws. I live in TN, originally from NY. This time of the year brings me back to the memories when I was young, big family dinner at my great grandmas and us boys would go deer hunting in the snow before we ate. Allways was a good time to be had.

Heading to my parents , Got a second thanksgiving day on Saturday with friends.

Kids and grandkids are coming here wife buying a honey baked ham and I am smoking a turkey breast. The remainder of food will be be left up to them to decide but of course I will be paying it all

Working on the ambulance, I do it myself so my ALS staff can be home with their families.

Nothing , New to the area and Don’t Know anyone !

DIL's Grandma had a heart attack about 3 weeks ago, then had a stroke a little over a week ago in the hospital. Things are not looking good so plans have been up in the air. Finally got it figured out...I think...

Grandma's family is all getting together around noon on Thanksgiving Day at the hospital. I am heading up to our son's place in the morning for a quick deer hunt as per our family's tradition. Then I will head home to help Wonderful Wife prepare a feast for she and I to be eaten while watching the Packers pound the snot out of the lions...hopefully.

Friday DIL will be home and is making another feast for all of us up there. Wonderful Wife made pumpkin pies from scratch and I can hardly wait!

Wife's family is coming over to our house.

28 expected here. A 19 Lber and a 16 Lber. Mom & Dad started the tradition in this house I think about 81 years ago. Missed one year ( Covid ) They are gone, all aunts and uncles gone, down to a few cousins left. Cousins kids, my two and two Grand boys. Few other shirt tail relatives. Bless my wife, lots of work. Cheers.
