A fine little hunting rifle. We like to argue every deer season about the Marlin vs the Winchester. Both do the job really well. You're sure to enjoy it.

I’ll let the menfolk do the arguing! I don’t know particulars about the gun except it’s totally rad

Idk why it took us so long to get one. I like the idea of open sights deer hunting. My first deer I ever got I was in my twenties and it was a JC Higgins bolt 20 ga with slugs. I still can’t believe it worked.

Is that marlin one of the new ones? If so I have not seen one yet.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Danny it’s new-ER. Slightly used.
You have to get on a waiting list to purchase a Marlin from what I know. Local gunsmith in Fairchance happened to have one so he went for it

So if you want to be super accurate with an "open" sight, install these on your new toy. This is technically a ghost ring but man does it change your accuracy.

No exaggeration. I can shot 1 inch groups at 100 yds. That sounds unbelievable. I thought so also. Until I did it. These sights are amazing, very affordable and easy to install. Just use the blue loc tight or Elmers glue. DO NOT USE THE RED LOC TITE!!

Or this one.

And this front sight.

Thank me later. You will be very happy you did this. I was awestruck.

I have seen a few of the ruger made Marlins. they looked nice in the gun shops. I tempted to buy one in stainless in 357mag that was 16" And threaded. BUT They changed our public land hunting cals again and real rifles are allowed 223 and up now so I didn't. besides I have not taken My jm stamped pre safety 357 out andbused it on deer yet. wood on the new ones is still proud and thicker than necessary taking away from the ligh and handy handling characteristics of the lod lever guns.

Marlin vs Winchester 30/30. I prefer the Marlins side ejection. Easier to scope if you decide to ( perfect for a low power 2×7) and sems like the action should be stronger but I have nothing to back the up other than opinion.

Great caliber and nice gun. Killed my first deer with a Savage 30 30 pump. Still have that rifle. Eric
