Yes strange title, however, at least here is beginning to become a conundrum, as the game depth has closed access to most of their land from mid Dec to the end of Apr causing a whole lot more traffic on the other public access lands, and with the number of bunny snugglers increasing and messing with or flat out taking the cage traps. I am considering adding something like earth anchors to my cages on 18 inches of 3/32 cable. Granted might not completely stop theft but hopefully make it harder for the traps to grow legs as hopefully average bunny snuggler isn't carrying a set of cable cutters.
Anyone else that faces this problem found a way to aide in loss prevention other than just not trap? Yes the key is set traps where the bunny snugglers don't go, but with daily trap checks required after 2 or 3 days checking traps in 2 feet of snow on snowshoes a path is pretty evident and they, the bunny snugglers start using it and you can imagine the rest.

The job of a Patriot is not to protect his country but to protect the people from the tryannical government

I rarely use cage traps, but I have chained one to a tree with a padlock in one location. It got moved, but it didn't get stolen.

Talked to a gentleman at a convention and he told me he would buy the "Smile you're on camera" signs and put them near his cage traps. Didn't have any cameras out but he didn't have cages get stolen. Said he thought the signs were just enough to make the bunny huggers nervous and move on.
