Boiled and power washed. My Chicago in-laws showed up just as I was finishing and asked what was hanging off of my eyebrows. I said probably just a little brain matter.

Mine is nagging too. I’m not a fan of hosting 30 people for this dinner. Too much setup and breakdown. I need someone else to host~ looking forward to an away game….. Got 45 minutes til they get here!

It helps keep the steam and any chemicals from discoloring the antlers while simmering.

All I use is Dawn dish soap with some OxiClean.

Power wash, then put a coat of 40% peroxide on it and apply some heat overnight.

I use the 40% cream peroxide solution a dilute it just enough with hydrogen peroxide that I can squirt it out of a bottle. It works well to get inside all the crevices but still heavy enough that it will stick to the bone and not just run off.

Put a space heater on it overnight and by morning its bleached. Wash it off with the hose and you're all done. It will continue to whiten over the next several days as the skull hardens.
