Fake trees are not Christmas trees. That's like saying that fake fur is the same as real fur. Fake trees are not a part of this conversation.
I cut mine on either our land or USFS. Years past I would once and a while poach one; glad to have that off my conscience.

We own a Christmas tree farm, if you are buying a real tree you already know its about more than the tree. You don't create lifetime memories by going to Walmart to pick out the artificial tree you will be using for the next 10 years, or at least until the Chinese lights burn out and you have to buy another so you can throw that other one in the landfill. Prices vary by variety and size of the tree. We also are an American family working for a living, so yea I don't feel bad when I put a price tag on a tree I just spent 6-8 years growing. If people are willing to pay it, then by all means, go for it! I've had a real tree all my life and always will... that said, commercial real trees are about at the limit of what I will pay for one. I won't pay $90 for a six foot tree. I will pay $60, which I will likely be able to get one for this year. Any further than that, and scraggly pines or cedars around here will become my trees. There will be a point where people just won't pay it anymore. I sold an artificial tree yesterday to 40's-something couple who said they'd always had a real tree but just couldn't afford it anymore... and they sure didn't look like lower class folks. But of course, it's all about supply and demand. You obviously have the demand if you can sell trees for your price. Once you don't, you'll either have to lower your prices or go out of business. As long as you have the market, take advantage of it!

Happy Christmas y’all. Doesn’t matter if your tree is real or fake! It’s about the birth of our Savior! And the Bible doesn’t say anything about bringing a tree into your house! Hope y’all have a merry Christmas. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2025/11/full-35779-276841-img_1098.jpeg)
It’s deer hunting, not deer passing.
If I have a tag, I’m ready to drag.

Just what every woman wants. A string of faux pearls or a faux diamond under their faux tree, lol ! Exactly, lol. Give me a REAL tanned weasel or REAL single freshwater pearl ring.... under a REAL tree lol.... and it'd probably be cheaper too lol

When I had my property I'd cut a free one, but that's all it was worth, lol Hard to find a GOOD wild tree....Friend of mine would cut 2 and tie them together good sides out. I've cut red cedars when the kids were young, the price was right.... Nowadays I do like my grandma did, snap off a branch from the spruce tree in the yard, stick it in a flower pot, tie a red ribbon on it and done....!!!

We pay $250+ for a 6' balled and burlapped tree, the grow time and land constraints are similar. You deserve to be well compensated for your trees, especially if you offer the full experience.
