Go for it!! I have no desire to travel anywhere.
Give me a fish, I will eat for a day. Teach me to fish, I will eat for a lifetime

Been thinking about a trip to Italy. I wonder if Italy is that far gone?
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Those river cruise commercials look cool. And Rick Steves makes Europe look nice on PBS. I know Europe is jacked up though.
I'd really like to go to mass at the Vatican. If money is not an option, have fun. There are cheaper , not treat you like cattle, do it yourself options. IMO the planning and booking are just part of the vacation. Not everybody feels that way.

I'd wait till the kids are gone. Unless, they are teenagers and have an interest in art, architecture, or history.

They can own some guns. Must be kept at a club. They have to join a shooting sports club to get licensed. Hunting is for the wealthy and nothing like hunting here.

I'm not interested in visiting any place my ancestors couldn't wait to leave...
My wife once talked about a visit to UK to visit castles...those symbols of tyranny and oppression....
Said I'd pay for her and my daughter to go, but I'm not interested....they never went though....

Italy is coming back. Giorgia Meloni is a decent prime minister who is anti migrant and anti woke. There's still to many gypsies, Africans and Muslims, but they are making progress. Keith

Italy has always had travel advisories due to the Italians. North is safe. South is sketchier.
