Wow. Don't know whether to think how cool a young girl wanted to solo camp. How mad I would be she had not asked permission. Can not begin to understand the fear/stress that caused.

… either that or she wanted some peace and quiet lol

… looking back I would have just tracked her myself but was thinking she got snatched up by the road and wasn’t in the woods

… but after dark cut sign of her back in the woods

… found her shortly after sleeping… dang prison hounds were goin the wrong way lol

What a relief !!!

Scary stuff.

My boy Emmett has snuck off on me twice, once was at a convention, so I wasn't as scared. He ended up finding some fine folks with some donuts, and was having a good old time when I found him. The other time was in a very busy store, and it scared the H*** out of me for a half hour. He was hiding in a coat rack and thought it was pretty funny.

That had to be the most agonizing moments of your life. Wow!

I think I remember that. Heck, she's 14 years old?? I thought she was about 8. I think I remember when she was born! Where does the time go?

I have a 2 and 4-year-old daughter myself and this gives me anxiety reading about it. I can't imagine and hope I never have to feel what that was like for you. I'm glad she was found safe and unharmed.

Kudos to all that showed up to help. Never forget about them.

Mr Paul named me Wilbur when I raised pigs … then named me deputy dog when I tried my hand as assistant moderator

…. Then got mad at me and sent me back to plain ol trapper lol

… they helped for sure … cut the first track while I was out running the roads white my 30-30 looking for a free candy van lol

Pretty impressive she stayed calm and didn't panic. Theres grown men that cant hold it together when they realize they are lost.

That is a nightmare for sure, and leaves one wondering about it happening again !

However not to take this down any, there are many nightmares out there that take a part of us away once they happen to our children, having experienced my own to two of my children at the same time, I have a special feeling for those of us who have to go through it !

It leaves a special feeling in you about them that never goes away !!
