We havent had one for a many years now.

The kids are all grown and usually spend the holidays elsewhere so it just seems like a lot of hooplah.

I do miss cutting a tree like we did when i was a kid.

We always went out and got a white pine.

I remember traipsing through the snow with my dad and him chopping it down with an axe.

Now a white pine isnt a " good enough" tree..

Its gotta be a high dollar fir tree..BAH HUMBUG

I enjoy buying gifts for people but the trees a thing of the past for me

Christmases used to be about family and friends..now its just about. "Whatd ya get me??

My grandparents used to give us a silver dollar and a bag of candy.

We have gone to the forest and cut a tree every year (sometimes two - one for upstairs and one for downstairs). The outing is the unofficial start of the Christmas season for our family. The tree is just part of the Christmas magic for our grandkids.

We don’t do big trees anymore. My wife has about a dozen little tree decorations scattered around the house.

First Thanksgiving now Christmas, you gotta get back in the holiday spirit!!!

Wife puts up 4. I always look forward to them. If it was just me I probably wouldn’t have one.

We grew trees so we got the cull tree, "Charlie Brown" tree.

We have a 3' artificial one it stays decorated year-round and spends most of its time in the basement.
When the kids were home, we went out a cut one every year,

No tree here have not had one up for years I’m out of the most of the year we have a Charlie Brown tree but that doesn’t even go up now.

We have one in the house and one down at river kitchen. Usually do Christmas with kids/grandkids at house in the morning. Then head down and start fire in river kitchen wood stove. Friends family and neighbors drift in and out all day and night for a cup or two of cheer, or a primer b4 they have to go to family parties.

I've wrote about this on here before, but no tree for years, when the kids were little , the nicest 6' red cedar I could find....now, if I want to decorate, I'll snap off a white spruce branch from the yard and stick it in a flower pot, might add a red ribbon if I can recycle one from something else...lol
