Lol, it was fun as a sideline

Never got into the breeding, always bought my piglets from the Amish

Of course they were a mixture of everything in pig DNA

Had a fella that would come to the house and cut all the boars

Dunno why but I chose boar piglets over sows, he charged 10 bucks a pig

One fall when the natural apple trees were falling, I picked a 40 gallon

trash can full and gave some to the pigs each nite

My youngest had her cousin over for the weekend and of course

went into the barn where the pigs and heifer calfs were

For whatever the reason, I dunno but them 2 girls picked

up that barrel of apples and dumped it into the pen

I didn't think much of it but a waste and kids till 2 days later

It was a Monday morning about 5 am, went into the barn

to feed the pigs and cows, opened the door and it hit me

The whole barn smelled like I was brewing shine

My 4 pigs wouldn't move and were laying flat out drunk

The walls were coated with what looked like scours, but I knew better

It took a couple of days for the pigs to sober up

"Science News: Your body may already have a molecule that helps fight Alzheimer’s

Researchers at the Paul Scherrer Institute PSI have clarified how spermine - a small molecule that regulates many processes in the body's cells - can guard against diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Spermine was first identified more than 150 years ago and named after seminal fluid, where it is present in particularly high concentrations."

The pig was helping you prevent Alzheimer's.

I think he needs a booster.

When we sold the cows we went to laying hens and hogs when I was about 9 years old. As the oldest boy my job was taking care of the swine herd. We had Durocs and Yorkshires and alternated boars. We only had about 7-8 sows and we sold mostly feeder pigs. I knew the boars had to be handled with care, but I soon learned that 300-400 lbs. sows tending their litters could be a handful as well. I was using an older fork to clean a pen with a sow and a litter. I got a bit too close as she was laying and she snapped the handle of the older for right in half. I gained new respect for those that minute.

I had them in a pasture so when the boar wanted to mount one of the gilts (which he outweighed by about 600 lbs) I needed him to finish fast so he didn't break them down. That meant I sometimes had to help make the "love connection" to hurry things along. For those that know, a hog has a pretty interesting looking and long penis. One memory that stands out is the darn thing doubling up when it missed on a thrust and squirting his full load square in my face from mouth to eyeballs!

Ah yes, raising pigs....such fond memories! LOL

Sweet baby Jesus. I wasn't expecting to read a reply along these lines.
I'm laughing so hard that it hurts.
A man's gotta be secure in his skin to tell this story
Beaverpeeler thank you for the laugh of the day.

I came in out of the woods early just to see who else actually reads what others post. This has been a whopper of a thread.

I have nothing clever to put here.
