Got called for a small beaver problem. Went in and looked like only a pair. I hope I am right. Will have to go back in the spring.

I find it amazing that you seasoned trappers can sorta tell how many are in a colony!!

They moved in early fall. There lodge is about the size of a old galvanized wash tub.

I’d bet you got them all by the looks of them two. Quite the color variation eh? Looks like one extra pale and one dark red unless it’s just the photo. Just curious, why not leave sets out a week or so to be sure, or did you already?

That and no new sign will show until then. I could chop ice and put bait sticks down but I don't think there are more. I have been wrong at that guess many times. Fingers crossed.
