Guys,, what outdoor/hunting organization recognizes trapping as a legitimate tool for wildlife management? National wild turkey federation?? I do know delta waterfowl does,, but that’s the only one I know of. Just curious.

Search nwtf and trapping and you'll find articles on their site about trapping. NTA has had a booth at their convention for many years now

I know the local chapter of quail forever does also. Big on habitat, and trapping ground nest predators.
Also can confirm that Whitetails Unlimited and National Deer Association supports trapping.
It’s deer hunting, not deer passing.
If I have a tag, I’m ready to drag.

I do know delta waterfowl does,, but that’s the only one I know of. Just curious. The NTA has had a booth at the NWTF Convention for many years thanks to the hard work of the BOD's under President Mc Alister. The TFHA about the same time was invited to have a booth in the Family Adventure Trail which is the educational part of the NWTF Convention. The TFHA also has had a booth there every year since that time. About 80,000 people came through the doors at the 2025 Convention. For the last few years Allen Probst with the North American Trapper has had a booth there and does sell product there. Allen has a large following and has been a real asset for trappers at the Convention. NWTF visitors are really interested in learning about predator control as lots of those folks know very little about trapping. It is a great forum to get the word out there.

I have set up a table for our state trappers association at local NWFT banquets. They are mostly, drink, eat and try to win guns events but there was always some interest from the true turkey hunters in the crowd.
The NWTF has also been involved in pushing for year round trapping for nest predators in some states with some success.
